This Thing Will Turn Heads August 4, 2010

Everywhere I drive this thing, it gets noticed. People stop and wave and stare in amazement. It's no wonder... this scooter is fast, agile, attractive, and insanely useful.
Forget all the cheaply built Chinese junk out there, this thing is built to last. It is not a toy scooter, it is a personal travel vehicle in its own right, suitable for everything from commuting to errands. With my weight and the high battery capacity, I can do a round trip anywhere within an 8 mile radius, no problem. And it doesn't dribble along at 10 mph, it screams at a good 20 to 25 mph.
It is "just right" for the city dweller in my opinion... small enough to be stored indoors, chained up like a bike, and drive on the sidewalk. But it is large enough and fast enough to be driven like a low end motorcycle. In fact, I know people who are deathly afraid and intimidated by motorcycles, and they LOVE this thing. It can do any sort of travel that would normally be reserved for a bike, segway, or motorcycle.
On the subject of price, if you're going to spend several hundred dollars on a scooter, you might as well spend that 10% or 20% extra and get 50% more for your money. Something that will last and perform when you need it. (And it is insanely FUN to boot!)
The only weakness is water, being electric it cannot be run in rain. I would totally pay for a higher end version of this scooter if it had some water resistance and maybe more features/options. Maybe an ability to shift gears on the fly like a 10 speed bike.
In conclusion, I am a picky, unhappy, miserable shopper and I cannot get over how perfect this thing is for me.

I never write reviews but had to for this because I'm so happy with this powerful but easy-to-ride scooter. I have mobility issues due to MS, and I can finally go around my local 3 mile lake with my dog again, it's been years. The size is just right. People are constantly asking me where I got it. Seattle is quite hilly, so while I won't usually drive it up and down the steep hills, it CAN do them, so now I have new routes to take for neighborhood sallies with said dog.

I just bought this scooter for my 13 year old son. He is so excited, but order it off super cycles and [...] Because the have free shipping and it takes two to three days to arrive. He is only 80ish pounds. How fast will he go??

My wife and I received these scooters for our camping trips. They are very well built, much better than the Xtreme 600. The headlight is very bright and helps you see imperfections in the road at night. This is important. Why? Because they're FAST! I almost flew off the back on my first ride because I was standing. I asked someone to clock me on the flat and I was going 20. My wife passed me even when she put our dog on hers (over 200 lbs. combined). I believe hers may even go as much as 25. You can't ask for better tires either. I did some manuevering that was impressive to say the least and had a blast too. Here's the kicker. People were tracking us down to ask where we got these. They couldn't believe they are electric. I have other types of scooters including supers and we rarely ever get this kind of response. If you have questions, the customer service is excellent. They'll even call you back. Buy it, you'll like it. Fill the world with electric scooters.

I bought one of these about 3 months ago for my own use. As some have pointed out, these are not legal everywhere, so ask around BEFORE purchasing. And they are for dry weather use only. With that in mind, I am happy with mine. I am 57 years old and 210 pounds, so I make this thing work for a living. One of my concerns before purchase was whether it was sized for an adult. For my height of 5' 9", the sizing is comfortable. I think some reviewers here are a bit over exuberant about the hill climbing ability. I have replaced the original back sprocket with the hill-climbing kit, which helps a lot and only knocks the top speed down to 18. If the intended rider is 170 lbs or more, I would order it with the hill kit unless it will be used strictly on level ground. I also recommend repositioning the left side brake control assembly inboard about 1/2 to 3/4 inch so the brake lever pivot can't damage your fingers (as it did mine). My experience with Super Cycles & Scooters, like others here, has been positive. These are fun to ride and attract comments and amazement from bystanders. Recommended.
