Simply Great August 22, 2010 Joseph F. Krueger Out of the box it is a simple 5-10 minute set up not even looking at the instructions just charge it up each night for the next day of fun. This scooter at times appears to go faster than what is stated so wear that helmet just to be safe.My nine year old can not get enough of it and she is constantly riding it. A month has gone by now with every day use and now the chain has to be tightened but this sccooter is well worth the money!!!!
Cool but dangerous. August 16, 2010 Robert Kempisty (michigan) My 11 year-old son just got his scooter, but then he crashed within the first five minutes of riding it. But he still said it was fun and attempted to ride it again. Days later he rode it and crashed yet again. So what I hear from him is that it is fun, but you have to be ready to crash at any moment. What's bad about it is that it only has front brakes, and if you slam on them you'll flip over the scooter. Make sure you don't come to a point where you have to slam on the brakes and flip over the handlebars. Overall it's a great toy but make sure your ready for it.
Currie Electric Scooter May 15, 2010 Carol B. Blood Bought this scooter for my son's 11th Birthday. Does not work-never charged. We have spent hours checking and rechecking and still can't get it to work. Had to mangle the box opening, so we can't return. Do not buy on the internet.
Good Over all"BUT !" May 12, 2010 James E. Butler (Flint,Tx. USA) This is a good product overall but the lack of a rear brake gives me pause. Having ridden motorcycles off and on for 40+yrs. I can assure you breaking hard on your front brake is risky business. I think my 8 year old grandson will master it as he is smart and athletic but we shall see. Personally I think this is cost savings at its worst. Otherwise at less than $ 200.00 it's a good value and shows better build quality than it's competition like Razor for example.
Extremely Disappointed February 17, 2010 Jane Murphy (Texas) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
We purchased this scooter as a Christmas gift for our son. We chose it because the weight limit is higher than other scooters in the same price range. The description says that it can go approximately 8 miles before the battery has to be recharged ... NOT! My son rode it up our street and then back down (approx. 1/4 mile), and the battery was almost dead. Also, it never reached it's maximum speed listed in the description (my son weighs approx. 150 pounds). We followed the instructions for charging the battery, and it was fully charged before it's first use. I didn't waste my time trying to figure out what may have been the problem or calling the manufacturer to troubleshoot the problem. I immediately returned it. I'm so thankful to Amazon for its excellent return policy since I was able to get a full refund of the $280. We gave our son the cash to use in any way he chose. We were happy to get the money back, and my son was thrilled to have that amount of cash at his disposal. I WOULD NOT recommend this product at all!
