I'm very pleased October 14, 2008 When I ordered this item for my Daughters' birthday I was concerned about delivery time. Also, we live in an area with many hills, would it perform? This item exceeded my expectations in both areas. It arrived days ahead of the promised date only three business days from the day I ordered it. It does come in a box with product graphics so be aware if it is to be a surprise. My daughter is a tall girl. At about 5'10" she is approaching the published size limit for the machine. None the less the Scooter performs wonderfully. With a motor larger than other Scooters in it's price range she zips all over the neighborhood. There are some hills that I really didn't think it would handle but it does. The charge time is long, although no worse than any other Scooter. I am thinking or ordering an optional "Fast Charger" available in literature that comes with the Scooter. Once charged it runs for quite some time. How long I'm not really sure since she has never used it to the point of complete discharge.
I would recommend this item!
Decent starter scooter July 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wanted to get a scooter for my girlfriend to get back and forth from work, which is about a mile away. It works fine, gets her back and forth, and uses NO gas. However, the scooter is pretty weak- and doesn't go as fast or as far as advertised. I immediately went and bought the Schwinn S1000- which is 100x better. If you actually intend to use a scooter for transportation or extended use- or if you just want it to go faster and have some nice suspension, don't cheat yourself and get the S1000. It's 2x the price but a much better product all around. I am actually going to sell my 4.0 as soon as I can and get another S1000. Trust me, get the good one.
